Ishi Odamtten Foundation Orphanage Project
Our Foundation’s main project is construction of an orphanage located in Ayikuma, a suburb of Ghana. The Ishi Odamtten Foundation Orphanage is intended to care, nurture and protect orphaned and street children from the southern part of Ghana. To that end our organization purchased plots of land in 2016 to embark on the project. Our orphanage will consist of a housing block, a school block and a clinic which will facilitate the health care and education programs for our underprivileged children.
The Foundation’s two-story housing block will consist of a big living hall, dining hall, kitchen, study/computer room, office, laundry room and mentor rooms on the main floor. The upper level will have 15 bed rooms which will be able to accommodate up to 100 children as well as bathroom facilities for both the girls and boys.
The school block will provide academic support for children from kindergarten through middle school. The main floor of the school block will consist of five classrooms for preschool and lower primary pupils, a library, a staff room and bathrooms. The middle floor which will serve the upper primary pupils will hold a small science laboratory, four classrooms and bathrooms. The upper five classrooms will serve the junior high students and will also hold a computer lab and bathrooms.
Our orphanage clinic will be made up of four consulting/ examination rooms, a small medical laboratory, a pharmacy, staff room, office and a patient waiting room.
For orphanage sustainability, the school and the clinic will also be open to the general public for a fee which will be used to provide basic needs and welfare of the orphans. Our orphanage project team is currently constructing a concrete fence wall to protect the property and provide security. We humbly ask for your financial support in construction of our orphanage house block. We would be very grateful for your donation.
